Interested in trying a Ride & Tie but don’t know where to start? Join the Pittsburgh Area Run and Ride Trail Association for an Introduction to Ride and Tie clinic. All skill levels -- especially beginners -- are welcome!

We'll have a mock vet check and go over basic strategy for planning your handoffs, tips for tying, recommended gear and tack, planning your training, and any other questions you might have.

At the end, optionally we’ll hit the trails together for a practice ride & tie. If you don’t have a horse or partner don’t worry, we’ll try to pair you up or else you can follow along on foot!

Location is Hillman State Park at the Old Model Airport Trailhead with parking for horse trailers and cars.
